Rail Veteran Dies
The Late James Banks
James Banks, one of the best known retired railroaders of Central Pennsylvania, recently died at his home in Lewistown, Pa., at the age of 83 years. His eight sons all learned telegraphy and now hold good positions in the railroad service. His sons are David, Lewis, Charles, and T.L. Banks of Altoona, Pa; John D. and Bruce, of Harrisburg; Edward of Pittsburgh, and George W. Banks of Oil City, Pa. Three daughters, Mrs. M. J. Bailey and Mrs. F. W. Evans of Lewistown, and Mrs. Harvey Smith of Philadelphia, survive, as do 27 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
