BILLY WAYNE HUDKINS, WW2, US Army, PFC, Truck Driver (345) Serial No. 35985802, 25 Apr 1945 - 20 June 1947, Inducted at Fort Hayes, Columbus, OH, service with the 110th ORD MM CO (Ordnance Medium Maintenance Company), Nagoya, Japan from 18 Oct 1945 - 12 Dec 1945, discharged at Fort Eustis, VA 20 June 1947. Awards: Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon and World War II Victory Medal. Information taken from Billy's pay records available at NPRC (22 Feb 2023) and records received from the Ohio Department of Veteran's Services (19 Sept 2011).

The Marion Star, Marion, OH, 12 Sept 1945, PG 4, states that Billy was a paratrooper. I have not found any other record to substantiate this claim. His pays records certainly do not imply this.

Bill was a heavy construction equipment operator for most of his life
