MRS. ORRIE DOW CALLED TO REST
FORMER RESIDENT OF THIS CITY SUCCUBED EARLY YESTERDAY IN SEATTLE
LADY WAS BORN IN THIS CITY 41 YEARS AGO, IS DAUGHTER OF I. E. GRAVEN
Mr. and Mrs. I. E. Graven last evening received a telegram from Seattle, Washington,
announcing the death of their daughter Mr. Elizabeth Dow, in the hospital in that city
yesterday morning at 6 o'clock. Mrs. Dow submitted to an operation and in her weakened
condition was unable to with stand the shock.
Mrs. Graven [Dow] was 41 years of age and was born October 12, at the Graven home in
Courthouse square. She attended St. Mary's school and after the completion of her school
work she was engaged in various industries for several years. At the age of 23 years she was
married to Orrie Dow and with him made their home in this city until four years ago when her
husband died. After this she lived with her sister Mrs. Suzanna Low. She is survived by her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. E. Graven, two children, Bernice aged 9 and Gilman aged 4, a sister
Mrs Charles Lucious of this city and a brother Frank Graven of this city.
The funeral will be held at Seattle tomorrow morning.
