1842 in Martins Ferry, Belmont, Ohio, the results of a mining accident that
occurred on 30 March 1842. He was employed at Piney Fork by the Hanna Coal
Company in Jefferson County, Ohio. His obituary states that his parents had
preceded him in death and that William had been a resident of Harrison
County, Ohio, for about 10 years.
William was buried at the Greenwood Cemetery near Hopedale, Ohio.
