Funeral services will be held at Koons Chapel Friday, May 20 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Bouzinden officiating. Burial will follow in the Goodland Cemetery.
Friends may pay their respects at Koons from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 19 and before the service on Friday.
A memorial fund has been established and will be used according to the wishes of the family. Contibutions may be left at Koons Chapel.
Mr. Orr was born July 24, 1907 in Meta, Mo., the son of Robert and Elsie (Mertell) Orr. He attended school in the Arkansas Valley, Colo. He worked as a mechanic for Burt Chevrolet in Englewood, Colo. for 30 years.
He married Lavetta Critchfield Helton in LaJunta, Colo., on September 26, in 1975. The couple moved to Goodland, Kansas in 1984. He retired in 1975 and had been in ill health for several years.
Mr. Orr is survived by his wife of the home; one son Delbert Orr; two daughters, Violet Wiskow, and Juanita Muller; four step-daughters, Pauline Spiker, Carol Lisowski, Lenora Somers, and Lois McClain; one step-son, Kenneth Helton; 14 grandchildren; and seven sisters, Ona Belle New, Mildred Roberts, Hilda Korolewski, Audra Jorgensen, Myrtle Jean Peeper, Imogene Cobb, Joyce Reyher.
He was preceded by his parents, two brothers,and two sisters.
