Claude Burnett
Claude Eugene Burnett, 81, of Englewood, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at Woods Memorial Hospital.
He attended Harvest Time Church in Athens, and was preceded in death by one grandson, Stephen Ray Gobby [Godbey]; his parents, William Claude and Pauline Marney Burnett; one brother, Jim Burnett; and one sister, Betty Kanipe.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Helen Stinnett Burnett of Englewood; two daughters, Sandra Gayle Wilson of Englewood, and Mary Katherine Golliher and her husband, Norman, of Athens; two sons, Michael Eugene Burnett and his wife, Sandra Kelley, of Athens, and David Allen Burnett of Englewood; grandchildren, Parker and Ashley Thomas, William Burnett, Mary Diane Gossett, Alicia Kelley Godfrey, Michael Christopher Burnett, Jonathan Matthew Burnett, Amanda Nicole White and Heather Leann Golliher; several great-grandchildren, including Nickolas Thomas; one sister, Mary Wicks of Rockwood; one brother, Walter Burnett of Rockwood; and a host of good friends and neighbors.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Evans Mortuary. Graveside services will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
