Son of Jacob "Rich Jake" and Nancy (Fuller) Cline; married Martha Adkins in 1868. Perry was an important figure in the Hatfield-McCoy Feud. He was sheriff of Pike County, KY, and an attorney.

"Perry A. Cline, a prominent lawyer of Pikeville, Ky., and a former resident of this county, died at his home at Pikeville last week." --Logan County (WV) Banner, 26 March 1891.
