Wilma Evelyn Sanders was born October 8, 1925 near Rose Hill, Iowa, the daughter of Oliver Franklin Mason and Bertha Mae Small Mason. After graduating from Barnes City High School in 1945, she was married to Edward McClure at Oskaloosa, Iowa, on August 12, 1945. Edward passed away in 1963.

In 1965, Wilma married Philip Sanders who later passed away in 1991.. She was a homemaker and a member of the Barnes City Ruritans. Wilma was also a member of the Barnes City Legion Auxiliary. She loved quilting, knitting, sewing, crafting and playing cards. She also enjoyed showing horses. Wilma loved spending time with her daughter, and grandaughter.

Wilma is preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, an infant daughter, Cynthia McClure and a stepson , Gary Sanders. Also her brothers, Paul, Walter, Oren, Norman and William and her two sisters Edith Kinney and Ina Cox as well as three half sisters.

Surviving are her daughter and her stepdaughter. Also a granddaughter , her three great granddaughters: her brother, and four sisters. Also surviving are her three step grandchildren and their families.
