Donna Louise Wrenn, 41, of Louisa, died Sunday, December 5, 2010 at her residence.

On the 4th day of June 1969, Donna Louise Wrenn came into the world at Atlantic City Hospital in Atlantic City, New Jersey. She was the lovely gift of Darnell and Minnie Wrenn. About six months later the parents parted ways and agreed to give custody of this cuddly and pretty baby girl to the paternal grandparents, Eddie and Louise Wrenn of Louisa, Virginia.

Donna's child development began with the love and nurturing of her grandparents. She began her elementary schooling in Louisa and attended Louisa First Baptist Church, where she was baptized. Through the years this child became a bountiful reason for existence for Eddie and Louise as they spoiled her with love, various celebrations and just simply the occasion to "show her off."

After the death of her grandfather, Donna and her grandmother relocated to Maryland in the proximity of her aunts, Ella, Shirley and Joan. She spent most of her teenage and adult years in the Silver Spring area of Maryland. Graduating from Springbrook High School was a rewarding experience for this ever-curious young lady. Her time spent at Montgomery College and The University of Maryland added to her academic and social growth. Donna was a hard worker and gainfully employed most of her adult life; even through her medical difficulties.

Eddie and Louise's grandaughter was extremely personable and comforting. She loved to give rather than receive and chose employment and social activities that complimented these characteristics. Donna was articulate and had little anxiety when presenting herself to the public. The young woman we are eulogizing was attractive and had a flair for the flamboyant. Her friends and associates were many.

In recent years, Donna had been under the doctor's care for various medical problems. She moved back to her hometown of Louisa, Virginia enjoying the company of her family Milton, Margaret and Zachary until she established her home in the area. During the early morning of Sunday December 5, Donna Louise Wrenn was stricken with a heart attack and expired in her apartment.

She is survived by Uncles, Milton Wrenn of Louisa, VA and Lloyd Wrenn of Warrenton, NC; Aunts, Ella Leach and Shirley Mountain of Silver Spring, MD, and Joan Williams of Atlanta, GA; many cousins, extended family and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at 11am on Saturday, December 11, 2010, at First Baptist Church, 102 Meadows Avenue, Louisa, VA, with the Rev. Dr. C. P. Thomasson officiating. Interment followed in First Baptist Church Cemetery.
