Melvin E. Schulte, 79, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, born Saturday, November 28, 1931 in Halletsville, Texas to Emil and Minnie Schulte; passed from his earthly life on Monday, December 6, 2010 in Houston, Texas.
Melvin or “Schulte’s” by family and friends has been a resident of the Kennard area for over twenty years after retiring as a Harris County Constable after thirty years of faithful service and twenty-five years of faithful service with C.E. King School District. Melvin served his country proudly in the Army National Guard for ten years and enjoyed many hobbies in his life including, dominos, ranching and his dog Suzie. But what he loved more than anything in the world were the times shared with his family and friends he loved so dearly. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Melvin is preceded in death by his loving parents Emil & Minnie Schulte.
Melvin is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-three years, Georgia M. Schulte; daughter, Eleanor Anderson, son, Clayton Campbell; grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2010 from 5-7PM at Sterling ~ White Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 2:00PM at Sterling ~ White Funeral Home in the chapel. Burial will follow at Sterling ~ White Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Sterling ~ White Funeral Home & Cemetery, 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Road, Highlands, Texas 77562.
