Mrs. Smith was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Warrick of Wilberforce, Ohio. After graduating from Wilberforce University, she taught in New Albany, IN, Alton, IL and Hopkinsville, KY. She married Irvin Tinsley in Alton in 1929. They later moved to Rock Island where Mr. Tinsley died in 1942. She later married Claude Reed in Rock Island. After Mr. Reed's death in 1965, she married Fletcher Smith and moved to his home in Flint, MI. After her death, she returned to be buried next to Mr. Reed.
