of Mundelein Visitation for Dorothy I. Bradford, 97, will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at noon Thursday, Dec. 9, at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home Ltd., 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.), Libertyville. Interment will follow in Lakeside Cemetery. Born March 24, 1913, in Chicago Heights, she passed away Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, at Libertyville Manor. Dorothy moved to Libertyville in 1918. She was a 1931 graduate of Libertyville Township High School and a 1937 graduate of Carthage College in Carthage, Ill. She was an executive secretary for Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago, retiring after 51 years. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Libertyville, where she was a member of the choir, Hope Circle and was a Sunday School teacher. She was also a member of the Libertyville-Mundelein, Fort Hill and Millburn Historical Societies. Dorothy directed the Village Players for 25 years and was also a volunteer with the Condell Hospital Auxiliary. Surviving are many friends, including her dear friends, Scott and Linda Schaul of Mundelein and their children, Mike, Kelly (Jim) and Mark. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Anna Bradford. For information, 847-362-3009.
