Funeral services for Gaither James "Tobe" Adams, 95, formerly of Crossville, who passed away Sept. 7, 1996, were conducted Wednesday, Sept. 11 at the Cloverdale Funeral Home. The Rev. Joseph Housh officiated with interment following at Terrace Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Adams was born May 24, 1901 in Crossville to Jim and Amanda Adams, Tennessee farmers and pioneers. He moved to Idaho with his wife and children in the early 1930s. He was a carpenter and building contractor. He loved hunting and fishing and visiting with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ova; son, Wayland; four brothers; and a grandson, Scott Miller.

Survivors include his daughters, Mrs. James, C.A. Tyke Carr, Mrs. Dewey, Maxine Weber, Mrs. Bernice Kennedy of Boise, Idaho, Mrs. Ethel Logan of Spokane, Wash., Mrs. Charles, Mary Jane Miller of Pacifica, Calif., and Mrs. Iris Housley of Lynnwood, Wash.; sons, Mr. Venable Adams and wife, Reiko, of Boise, and Mr. Glenn Adams and wife, Fonn, of Electric City, Wash.; sisters, Mrs. Zenia Hobson and Mrs. Clara Averill of Boise; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

Cloverdale Funeral Home of Idaho was in charge of the arrangements.
