Mary R. Purifoy, 89, died Tuesday, April 9, 2002. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and had lived in Jacksonville since 1957. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Leonard L. Purifoy, daughters, Mary E. Purifoy and Beverly Hamby, sister, Christine Mahalick, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Peggy and Marvin Brantley, grandchildren, Denise Jones and Steven Hamby and 5 great grandchildren. Memorial service will be held Friday at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd with Fr. Victor Norivelil officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice Foundation, 4266 Sunbeam Rd. 32257.
