Anna Gardner, 85, a retired school teacher and a longtime Stanfordville resident, died Jan. 22 at Central Nursing Home in Wappingers Falls. Previously a resident of Mannsville, Mrs. Gardner taught at Cold Spring Elementary School in Stanfordville and in the Pine Plains Central School District until 1973. Born July 12,1905, in Mannsville, she was the daughter of the late Charles S. and Fannie Clark Adsit. Mrs. Gardner was a graduate of New Paltz Normal School and New Paltz State Teachers College. Survivors include a son, Raymond Gardner of Verbank, several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
