Anna Stevens was born in New Hampshire in 1849. She was the daughter of Elihu T and Mary A O Stevens, and had a sister Caroline "Carrie" O Shattuck, her brother in law Capt. Amos B. Shattuck was mortally wounded at the Battle of Fredericksburg, VA (pls see his bio). She married Rufus Lord Griffin around 1880 and they lived in Brooklyn, NY. According to the 1910 census she and Ruben were back in Manchester in 1910 shortly after the death of her sister Carrie in 1907. It appears they lived in the family homestead on Myrtle St. They had no children. It is unclear where Ruben is buried, he is not in the lot book for the Valley Cemetery, however, there are several vandalized and missing stones on the Stevens family lot. She died May 1, 1933 at the age of 84.
