Charles D. Snider, 81, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a sales clerk for Riggs Supply, where he worked for 19 years, member and deacon of Church Grove Baptist Church in Newbern, former Chief Maintenance Engineer at Parkview Hospital for 21 years, former Resident Manager for Motel 6 for 8 years, elected Officer of the Travelers Protective Association and former President of the Chuckwagon Gang Fan Club.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Holland officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Jewell Snider of Dyersburg; a daughter, Donna Snider Reed of Dyersburg; a step-son, Mark Gooch of Newbern; two sisters, Sarah Stover of Troy and Juanita Snider of Michigan; and three grandchildren, Brian Reed of Dyersburg, Jonathon Gooch and Paul Gooch, both of Newbern.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Snider, his parents, Avery and Leasie Johnson Snider; and a sister, Doris Brown.
