His father James R Ayers, my great great uncle, enlisted in the Civil War on 2 May 1864. He was a private in Company H of the 132nd Ohio Infantry. He died (30 Aug 1864) en route to his home from injuries he received on the railroad, near Marysville Station, Pennsylvania. I still have not been able to locate his grave.
John A Ayers is the nephew of David Ayers Find A Grave Memorial# 13417169. David Ayers and James R Ayers were brothers.
