John Hyrum Dye b. Attleborough, Norfolk, England the Eighth child of ten children & 7th of 8 sons. Immegrated to Utah with his family about 1873. Parents Richard(1823-1905 & Sarah Kemp-Dye(1823-1903) Md: Althera Merintha Draper. John & Althera had five children their only two sons John Willis & Vivian Merele Dye met tragic, violent & untimely deaths in Lowell (Bisbee) AZ & Cannanea, Sonora, Mexico. While on a prospecting trip to Mexico in 1902 with 2 close friends/partners, they & other prospectors in the area, were attacked by a renegade band of outlaws that consisted of Mexican banditos, hostile Papago Indians and half breeds.. Only John managed to escape his friends were killed. John was a handsome man with ble eyes. He was totally dedicated to his beautiful with and children. John out lived his wife and four of his children.
