W.G. CAMPBELL
DIES IN HOSPITAL
W.G. (Bill) Campbell, a resident of Carlsbad for 50 years, died last night in Santa Barbara, Calif., following a major operation, it was said by relatives here today. Campbell, who left here for California about three years ago was 55 years old.
A brother, Dillard Campbell, and three sisters, Mrs. Frank Jones, Mrs. Bill Jones and Mrs. Raymond Shaffer are Carlsbad residents. Campbell's mother-in-law, Mrs. S.A. Watkins and a brother-in-law, Charlie Watkins, also live in Carlsbad.
Campbell is survived by his wife, Florence, and six children who were with him at the time of his death; two sons, Rex and Gilbert, and four daughters, Katherine, Marilyn, Joan and Norma Jean.
The body will be sent to Carlsbad for burial this week, accompanied by California relatives.
