MARTINSVILLE MORNING POST, Wed., March 10, 1937, p. 4, col. 7 [edited]. John B. Parcell, 81, formerly of Henry county, and lately a resident of Williamson, W. Va., died at the home in Williamson Sunday. The body was brought to Townes Funeral Home for services near here. Funeral services were conducted near Fieldale Tuesday afternoon. Burial was made near the old family place near Fieldale. Four brothers survive: J. C. of Bluefield, W. Va., Roy of Roanoke, Ben of Greensboro, N.C. and J. F. Parcell of Leaksville, N.C., Mrs. W. J. Watkins of Fieldale, Mrs. M. C. Dingess of Williamson, W. Va., and Mrs. Alvis Trent of Winston-Salem, N.C., all sisters, survive. Pall bearers were Joe McBride, William Koger, J. W. Franklin, J. A. Parcell, G. B. Webber and J. E. Swinney.
