Havana - Civil Louise Alexander, 82, died Wednesday Feb. 22, 2006, at her home. She is survived by her husband of 64 years C.R. "Pop" Alexander.
The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. EST today at Woodland Cemetery. Family will receive friends after the service. Faith Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Alexander was born Oct. 11, 1923, in Elba, Ala. She married C.R. Alexander in 1941. They owned and operated the Western Auto Store in Havana for 20 years and then they Alexander Furniture. She was an avid bridge player at the Wednesday Bridge Club in Havana. She was one of the founding members if the Ladies Golf Association in Havana. She was a charter member of the Havana Golf and Country Club. She was a den mother to the Boy Scouts for many years. She was very active in the Havana community and a very fun-loving person.
