Orville Ray Arterberry, 67, of Maquoketa, died Thursday morning, October 29, 1987, at the Jackson County Public Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday at St Mark's Episcopal Church, Maquoketa. Burial will be in East Iron Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday at the W G Carson & Son Funeral Home.
Mr Arterberry was born August 15,1920, in Clinton, the son of Levi& Erma McCloy Arterberry. He married Mary McHuth on December 4, 1943, in Washington, D C. He was employed at Clinton Engines, Maquoketa, & was a W W II Veteran. He was a member of the Maquoketa American Legion Post 75 & Veterans of Foriegn Wars Post 3633. Survivors include his wife, his mother, a daughter, Mrs James (Carol) Summers, of Maquoketa, 2 sons, James & Larry, both of Maquoketa, 7 grandchildren, 2 brothers, LeRoy of Maquoketa & Robert Thomas of California, 2 sisters, Lois Garien & Muriel Carr, both of Maquoketa.
