Born in Wisconsin, died in Beloit, Rock, Wisconsin. In the 1920 Census shows him living in Montrose, Dane, Wisconsin, and by 1930 Census had moved to Beloit where he stayed (except for military service) until he passed away. He was born the first child of four born to William Duane Hollibush (1895-1975)of Wisconsin, and Alma Irene Tyrie (1898-1985) also of Wisconsin.
During WWII he was assigned to:
1. U.S.S. Orestes (AGP-10), deployed on 6 Nov 1944 to Leyte Gulf.
2. Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron Thirty-Three and deployed January 31st, 1945 until 24 Oct 1945. He received a change in rating on 1 Jan 1945, advanced to MoMM3c(T) from F1cMoMM per Bupers C.L. 297-44.
