In 1860, Addie is listed as living with her father, Joseph Harple 63, his second wife, Emeline 48, and siblings: Olivia 38, Henry 36, Louisa 34, Joseph 25, John 23, Mary 21, Phillip 18, James 15, Emeline 10, and George 7. Her second husband was William Fields wed on 1 September 1879 in Lucas County. She married Thomas Barns from England on 17 September 1893 in Victory, Michigan. Addie died of heart failure at the age of 81 years 7 months and 25 days.
