WILLIAM HARRISON WEVER was born in Stark county, Illinois to
Moses H. & Sophia Stuart Wever on August 19, 1867 and passed from this life in Minneapolis, Minnesota, April, 18, 1938, at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 29 days. He had been in poor health for about two years and last Monday the end came.

On Nov. 8, 1888 he married Alyce O. Sroufe. To this union were 13 children: Mrs.(Olive)Ernest Craig; Mrs. (Lora)Connie Sease; Earl; Mrs.(Marie)Selmer Stenson; Mrs.(Lottie)Harley Peterson; Blaine; Blair; Elmo; Rose Wever. Perceded in death by Lewismilo, Clare "Mable", Grace "Myrtle", Anna "Lola" Wever.

Besides his wife and children, he leaves to mourn his passing two sisters, Mrs. Charles Currier of Kewanee, Ill. and Nina Forest, of Granite Falls, Washington, and one brother, Albert "Bert" Wever of Correctionville, Iowa. There 42 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces and more distant relatives.

Mr. Wever came to Greene Co. Iowa in 1902. He farmed here for about 12 yrs. He then moved to Bradgate, Iowa and after a few years there he went to Wrenshall, Minn. And after five years there he moved to Minneapolis, which was his home for the last ten years of his life. The family also live in Sranton, Iowa where some of the Children were born.
He was a member of the Baptist church. .

The funeral services was conducted by the Rev. R.J. Arms, in Huffman's funeral home in Scranton, Iowa, Thursday afternoon and interment was made in the Scranton cemetery.
