"Harold L. Wilcox, 90, formerly of Port Rd., went to be with the Lord, Monday, May 29, 2000, at James G. Johnston Memorial Nursing Home. He was predeceased by his first, wife, Mildred, in 1987; son, Nelson, in 1997; and a son-in-law, William Beauman, in 1999. He is survived by his wife, Mabel Wilcox, Johnson City; one son and daughter-in-law, LeRoy and Patricia Wilcox, Bethlehem, Pa.; three daughters and one son-in-law, Esther Wilcox, Dryden, Sylvia and David Merkel, Tyrone, Pa., Juanita Beauman, Moscow, Pa.; one daughter-in-law, Sylvia Wilcox, Vestal; 14 grandhildren; several great-grandchildren; two step children and their wives, James and Nancy Randall, Franklin, Va., Paricia and Carl Bales, Largo, Fla.; one brother and sister-in-law, Chester and Doris Wilcox, Binghamton; sister, Alice Sents, Binghamton; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and a retired employee of Singer Link.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 11 a.m. from the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, with Rev. Michael J. Peck, Pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Spring Forest Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, from 10 to 11 a.m."
