Joseph Fox Sr, 1308 South Spring Street, died suddenly at 7:30pm yesterday at his home. Death followed a heart attack. He was 62 years old.

Descendent was born May 23, 1876, in Plymouth, Pa and came to Illinois as a small child. He has been a resident of Springfield for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and Odd Fellows.

Surviving are his wife Anna and nine children: William, Joseph and Mildred at home; Phyllis Starling, Lucille Fox, Alice Maisel, Anna Hand of this city and Dave Griffiths of Hammond, Ind and William Griffiths of Mazon, Ill; and five sisters and two brothers, Mrs John H Walker of Springfield, Mrs Charles Dewey of Mazon, Ill, Mrs John Shields of Lombard, Ill, Mrs Susan Crofts of Marlon; Harrier, Thomas and Charles Fox of Maywood, Ill.
