PIONEER TO BE BURIED HERE

Remains of G. R. Camp En Route to Sioux City from California

The body of G. R. Camp, a pioneer of Woodbury county, who died at Santa Rosa, Cal., will be brought to Sioux City for burial. Mr. Camp came to Smithland, Ia., with his bride in 1858. He was a veteran of the civil war, enlisting in the Second Iowa Infantry, and was with Sherman on his famous march to the sea. He came to Sioux City in 1878, removing to California ten years later, where he has since resided. Mr. Camp is survived by three daughters, Mrs. W. A. Kifer, Mrs. F. M. Ziegler and Mrs. P. W. Bussman, of Santa Rosa. Mr. and Mrs. Bussman will accompany the remains to Sioux City. The burial will take place at Floyd cemetery, where Mrs. Camp, who died in 1885, is buried.
