Lena Marie (LeBeau) Faye, 93, of 49 Line Street, Feeding Hills, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 18, 2002 in a local nursing home. Born August 13, 1908 in Northampton, daughter of the late Joseph and Albina Marguerite (Versailles) LeBeau, she was married to the late Cleo C. Faye on August 16, 1927 in Northampton. She was educated in Northampton schools and graduated from Northampton Business College. She lived in Agawam for over fifty years and was the manager of the cafeteria for many years for the former Pierce Elementary School in Agawam, retiring in 1972. She was a former member of Sacred Heart Church and its Rosary Altar Society. Lena enjoyed playing cards, traveling and dining out with friends and family. She had been a resident since March 2000 of Country Estates Extended Care and Rehabilitation Center in Agawam. Her husband, Cleo C. Faye died in 1957.
She leaves a son and his wife, Robert G. and Christina Faye of Dalton, two daughters, Dorothy R. Blokland of West Springfield, Vivian A. and her husband Edmund Govoni of Agawam, a brother, Lawrence LeBeau of Leeds, seven grandchildren, Diane Blokland, William Faye, Francis Blokland, Patricia Faye Scallion, John Blokland, Judith Govoni Romeo, Karen Govoni Beckstead, six great-grandchildren, Erica, Alicia and Melanie Scallion, Scott and Ross Faye, and Claudio Romeo, a niece, four nephews and many cousins. The funeral will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main St., with a Mass in St. Theresa's Church at 10. Burial in St. Thomas Cemetery, West Springfield.
