Dora Lee Thomas, 54, of East 3rd Street in Fulton, Missouri, passed away on November 1, 1931 of Sarcoma of the Uterus at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia, Missouri. She was born on 1877 in Calwood, Missouri, the daughter of Thomas Benton and Martha Ellen (Fisher) Williams. Dora was a house wife. Interment was at Hillcrest Cemetary in Fulton. Arrangements were made by Leo Wallace Funeral Home in Fulton.

Obituary from Callaway County News Paper:

Mrs. Dora Lee Thomas, 54 years old, wife of Robert Lee Thomas, died 9 O'clock Sunday evening at the Boone County Hospital in Columbia, where she had been a patient since Wednesday and where she underwent an operation Thursday. The body was brought to the home on Second Street in Fulton.

A funeral service will be conducted at the First Babtist Church in Fulton, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 by the pastor, the Reverand Dr. A.W. Tandy and burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetary.

Mrs. Thomas, before her marriage , was Miss Dora Lee Williams of Fulton. She was a daughter of Thomas Benton and Mrs. Martha Ellen (Fisher) Williams. She was born on a farm near Fulton on October 11, 1877 and had lived practally all her life in the county.

Mrs. Thomas was united in marriage to Robert Thomas on January 3, 1897.

She is survived by her husband, R.L. Thomas and five children, Dewey Thomas, Mrs. Lela Shiverdecker, Brown Thomas, Robert Thomas and Charles Thomas, all of Fulton. In addition she leaves two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Dollie Metszer of Chicago, Mrs. Henrietta Francis Goodman of Fulton, Vollie Williams of Kansas City, Joseph Thomas (Tom) Williams and John Williams, both of Fulton.

She also leaves her Mother, Martha Ellen Williams and four grandchildren, Billy, Dorothy, Joe and Betty Ann Shiverdecker.

Mrs Williams was united with the Babtish Church early in life.

Dora was my Great Aunt on my Fathers side. She was my Grandfather Joseph Thomas "Tom" Williams's sister.
