He married Julie Hasslinger of New York February 28, 1869 in Hudson City, N.J.. Witnesses were: John Prasch & Mrs. Auguste Probst.

Egg Harbor City, N.J. March 6 The remains of Mr. Henry Voss, aged 78 years, one of the few remaining members of General Stahel Post, G.A.R., were laid at rest in the local cemetery yesterday. Pomona Lodge, No. 119 I.O.O. and Rudolph Elmer Post, American Legion, paid last military honors to the deceased veteran soldier. Mr. Voss died at his home in Pomona, N.J., Friday morning from pneumonia. For years he was one of the leading building contractors of this city, but the last few years made his home in Pomona where he had a large flower farm. He is survived by a wife, four sons; George, August, Henry and Louis Voss, and five daughters; Mrs. William Suenderhauf, Mrs. Robert Michel, Mrs. Howard Bozarth, Mrs. John Moregenweck and Mrs. Edward Kroekel."
The grave faces the road and is the third from the left grave covering the upper leg area of graves 5,6 and 7.
