George Patrick "Joe: Ries, 60, Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010. He was born in Indianapolis on April 21, 1950 to John and Mary Sullivan Ries. Joe worked as a Lgistics Manager for US Xpress for the past 3 and a half years. He previously worked for Buck Thomas and Associates in Clearwater, Florida. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Marianne Schafer Ries; his sisters, Sallie Lydick (Jim), Rosie Young (Phil), Barb Stumpf (Bill); his brothers, John "J.T.", David and Kevin Ries; stepchildren, Jay and Jacob Morris and Bonnie Stone.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Daniel F. O'Riley Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday prior to Mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Church Building Fund.
