He purchased two plots , one for him and one for his wife. HIS SON was the one who ordered the engraving and the tombstone after his Father died. ***************************

In 1910 Anthony, son of Frank and Anna Vacha petitioned Wayne County Clerk in Detroit MI. For the Vacha named to be changed to the American version of Walker. .Anthonys' Father Frank refused to hear of it and kept his given surname of Vacha. Frank Vacha then erected his own tombstone and is buried alone here in Holy Cross by himself, his beloved wife Anna is buried across town in Mt. Elliot with her daughter ,grandchildren etc. under the name WALKER.
They all attended a Bohemian Catholic Church St. Wenslaus which was sadly torn down in 1962.

Frank and Anna Vacha raised 11 children, all Roman Catholic, most worked at the forge plant, and Detroit Brass Works, in Detroit Michigan, wayne county ,located on the southwest side on Michigan Ave. Ornamental iron workers and were very famous for it .
The eleventh child has not been found yet.

Anthony Walker b.1874 born in AUSTRIA marries Philice Ann Rivard on July 25, 1906 in Detroit Mi. Daughter of Elli Rivard ,and Mary Unknown. ANTHONY WALKER HAD HIS NAME CHANGED IN/CIRCA 1905. He ran a big grocery store,f amous, located at 1649 Grand River in Detroit MI.

Mary Walker born in Austria,Bohemia Czech Republic.Circa 1876- 1877. Mary Walker and John Horkey were married on Feb. 28 1905 in Detroit Michigan, Wayne County. John Horkey was born in Bohemia, Czech. Republic. He was the son of John Horkey and Josephine nee Bender Horkey. The entry of this marriage is MISSPELLED IN THE CLERKS OFFICE. IT IS SPELLED HORKERY. This couple had a very large farm located in the 12 mile area of Royal Oak Michigan.

Elizabeth Walker born in 1882 , died August 1945 marries Joseph Thomas Rakovan, on September 8, 1908 in Detroit Wayne county Michigan. Joseph Thomas Rakovan was born in Massachusetts, and was the son of Andrew Rakovan and Anna nee (unknown) Rakovan . Lived on Ash street in Detroit MI.
