Mrs. J. A. McShane Died Early Today

Mrs. John A. McShane, prominent in Omaha social and cultural circles for many years, died at 6 a. m. today in her apartment at the Blackstone. Coronary thrombosis was given as the cause of death. She had been ill six weeks.

She was the widow of the former Omaha wholesale lumberman and congressman, prominent in Omaha business activities, who at one time was associated with the late John A. and Edward Creighton.

Mrs. McShane was the mother of Mrs. W. D. Hosford, 525 South Thirty-seventh street, who survives.

Mrs. McShane was born in Batavia, Ill., 72 years ago. She spent hop young womanhood in Chicago until her marriage in 1892, when she came to Omaha. She had resided here continuously since.

Widely traveled, she made a trip around tho world several years ago.

She was a member of St. Cecilia's parish.

A woman of many charitable activities, she carried on her philanthropies quietly. She was especially interested in activities of the Christ Child society.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 9 a. m. at St. John's Catholic church. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre cemetery. Burket mortuary is in charge.

Crofoot, David A. Baum, C. M. Wilhelm, Randall K. Brown, John P. Brady, Norris Brown, P. A. Brogan, Dr. Adolph Sachs and A. L. Reed.

Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre cemetery.
