Successively, Friar Joseph served as vice-master at Monte Mariano; director of the Profesorium at St. Antoby Quilon and later at Kottagiri; vicar and novice master at Loreto Muvatupuzha; vicar and rector of Initiation at Monte Mariano, Furugipet; rector of university students at Dharwar; spiritual father at Kotagiri; vicar provincial at the Provincialate of Aluva; rector of Initiation at Portiuncula, Kattappana; spiritual father at Alverna, S. Battery; and friar guardian at Shanti Bhavan.
Between 1972 and 1974, he underwent studies in Rome, obtaining a licentiate in sacred theology. He passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2010, aged 82. Funeral Mass was celebrated the following day at Bharananganam.
