John W. Andrews, 83, retired Rison Farmer, died Monday night at his home.

Mr. Andrews was born to the late Jake and Lee Rowels Andrews (both born in Cleveland County), where he was reared and attended school in Cleveland County, Arkansas.

He was a member to the Rowel Baptist Church,

His first wife Minnie I. Smith, whom he married on 12-17-1891 at Rison, and died in 1938.

John and his second wife Catherine Lou Love Murdock married in 1938.

Survivors are one son, John Tom Andrews of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and one stepson; Robert Murdock of Dallas, Texas, and numerous grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 1at 2 p.m. at Rowell Baptist Church with Rev. Jim White, and Rev. Elex Calbert officiating.

Burial will be in Rowell Cemetery, Cleveland County, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be T. E. Andrews, J. T. Andrews, Johnnie W. Andrews, Allie Andrew, E. K. Goldberger and Jimmy Marques. OBIT provided by Linda Newman
