Mrs. Walston was the Co-owner and operator of RUWalston Dime Store of Swansboro for many years.
A funeral service will be held March 8, 2009, with Elder Tom Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Greenville.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Earl Walston who lost his life during The Korean War. Also preceded in death are her parents Joe and Lena Smith; and her two sisters, Lila Smith Ross and Mary Idell Sawrey.
