Mrs. Gulliford has been a resident of Milmine for fifty years or more. She was twice married. Her first husband, Charles Dailey, was killed in the Civil war. They were the parents of three children, Charles Dailey, of Carlinville; Mrs. Dave Gulliford, of Ivesdale, and Mrs. Chalres Hoffheins, of Kansas City, Kan. Her second husband, William Gulliford, died in September, 1907. To them were born five children. They are: Mrs. James Osborn, near Decatur; Mrs. Dan McLaughlin of Cerro Gordo; James W. Gulliford of Bement; Mrs. MacNoe of Hammond, and Scott Gulliford of Decatur.
Mrs. Gulliford was seventy-eight years old. She was a sister of Frank Torrence of Decatur and of the later Gen. Joseph P. Torrence of Chicago, and sister-in-law of Mrs. Emma Armsworth of this city.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Milmine church. Interment was in Bement cemetery.
