John Everette Hill of Evergreen, NC, died at his home Saturday Morning. Funeral services were held from Boardman Baptist Church with internment following in the Chadbourn Cemetery,Chadbourn, NC.
He was an Army veteran of World War I and served in the European Theater. He was retired from Atlantic Coast Line Railroad where he worked as a Freight Operator and Telegraph operator and Agent. He was also a farmer.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Davis of Lumberton and Miss Gussie Hill of Evergreen; three daughters, Mrs. Will Nance of Chadbourn, Mrs. Peggy Shaw of Chadbourn and Mrs. Tom Johnson of Evergreen.
