Lyons, GA - Mr. Ezra Aaron, age 80 of Lyons, died Wednesday, December 15, 2010 in the Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah after an extended illness. He was a native of Evans County and moved to Lyons in 1952. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion. He served for thirty-six years as the Toombs County Magistrate Court Judge and was a member and Past Master of Lyons Masonic Lodge #49. He was a charter member and Deacon of the East Gordon Street Baptist Church in Lyons and was preceded in death by his parents John and Nancy Hammock Aaron and ten siblings.

Mr. Aaron is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Dot Aaron of Lyons; two daughters, Brenda Aaron McNure and her husband Bobby of Vidalia, and Marie Aaron Creamer and her husband Kenny of Lyons; one son, E.J. Aaron and his wife Lavonne of Lyons; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 17th at 11:00 am in the East Gordon Street Baptist Church with Reverend Dane Glisson officiating. Interment will follow in the Lyons City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00.
