David C. Fisher

ADA - David C. Fisher, 74, a retired mason, died here at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the home of a son, Ralph (Mick) Fisher, West Buckeye Street.

Fisher had been ill about five years. Cause of death was a cerebral hemorrhage.

He was born Nov. 8, 1882, in Allen County and moved to Ada 40 years ago from Lafayette. He was the son of Thomas and Mary Katherine Hollowell Fisher. His wife preceded him in death.

A daughter, Mrs. Norman Wooley of Vandalia and four sons, Ralph (Mick) and Walter A. of Ada, Charles of Russells Point, and Lew of Lima, survive along with six grandchildren.

Five sisters, Mrs. Harry Heffner, Mrs. Clyde Shryder, Mrs. Velma Hall, Mrs. Rose Ackerman and Mrs. Cliff Shrider, all of Lafayette, and three brothers, Clint of Lafayette and Frank and Avery of Lima also survive him.

Funeral services will be held in the Preston Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. L. H. Wyant officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home until noon Wednesday.
