MOORESVILLE
S. M. Hadley, one of Mooresville's oldest business men, who has been very feeble for several months, died at an early hour Wednesday morning at his farm near town. Early in the spring he and his wife had gone to the farm where he has been spending his summers, in hope of benefiting his health but he continued to decline, and gave up hope of recovery. An account of the funeral, which will probably be held at his home here in town Friday morning, will be given next week.

The Remains of S. M. Hadley who died Wednesday morning of last week at his farm, were brought to the family residence on east High street, Thursday morning, where services were conducted by Rev. Thomas Brown of the Friends church of which he had been a member his entire life. Mr. Hadley was born on a farm near the place where his death occurred, and had spent his entire life in this community. Almost fifty years ago he was married to Miss Samira Kemp, of Bloomingdale, whom he met while attending the Friends Academy there, who with their daughter, Mrs. W. A. Cox, her husband and little son, Milton Cox, survive. He had been in the drug business in Mooresville thirty seven years.
