Flora was reunited with a long lost sister, Martha in 1981 by her sister's daughter Cynthia. The sisters had been apart for 56 years. Later, a brother, Ira George Hoyt was found.
She moved to a trailer park named Laurels of Coldwater when she married Harry M. Miller.
A domestic worker until her retirement, she enjoyed being with people.

Flora was waked at the Kolcz Funeral Home of Bronson with the Rev. James Troust of the Presbyterian Church of Coldwater officiating. Burial was at Greenlawn Cemetery in Orland, Indiana.
