Louise M. Kahl was born in Edgerton, Wisconsin on Jan 19, 1913 to Clarence "Happy" and Ella (Glestad) Larson. She was baptized on March 3, 1913 and confirmed her faith on May 1, 1927. She graduated from the Edgerton High School in 1931. Louise married Lester Kahl in June of 1938 in Dubuque, Iowa. She cleaned, wall papered and painted homes in the Edgerton area. She was a longtime doll clothes maker, specializing in Barbie clothes. Louise was a lifetime member of the Post Mark Collectors Club, attending many of their national conventions, and was also a lifetime member of Christ Lutheran Church, a member of Bethel Circle and the WELCA. Throughout her life, she enjoyed gardening, traveling, cheering on the Badgers and spending time with her family and friends.
She and her husband had four children, Larry, Keith, Ralph and Linda. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester who died in 1969 and her son, Ralph in 1979.
