Clifford Ray Alwine, 88, of Countryside Christian Community, Annville and formerly of Johnstown, died Sunday, December 12, 2010. Born July 22, 1922, in Johnstown, he was a son of the late Otto Lloyd and Ivy Mae (Mosholder) Alwine. Retiring as maintenance supervisor from the Westmont Hilltop School District, Johnstown, he was a member of Annville Church of the Brethren. Surviving are his wife of 67 years Lucy Mae (Hartland) Alwine; children, Larry R., husband of Karen Alwine of Lebanon, Terry L., husband of Mary Alwine of Lebanon and Diane M., wife of Ed Swank of Annville; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2010, at Annville Church of the Brethren, 495 E. Maple St., Annville, with a reception following. Private interment in South Annville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Annville Church of the Brethren, 495 E. Maple St., Annville, PA 17003.
