Mildred Atkins Hudson, 87, died Dec. 14, 2010, at OCH Regional Medical Center.
Services are Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ben Yarber officiating. Burial will follow in Ethelsville Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hudson was born Dec. 19, 1922, in Ethelsville, Ala., to the late Lewis Atkins and Ada Key Youngblood Atkins.
She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church in Columbus. She retired from First Columbus National Bank.
Mrs. Hudson is preceded in death by her husband, John Ellis Hudson.
She is survived by her daughters, Janice Hudson Burris of Columbus; Sherry Hudson Shackelford of Columbus; brothers, Donald Atkins of Columbus, Orman Atkins of Reform, Ala.; sister, Ann Atkins of New Hope; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers are Justin Harris, Logan Shackelford, Wayne Doyle, Kevin Doyle, Randy Stacy and Wayne Seroux.
