Lizzie (Degase) Fleetwood was the daughter of John or "Jan" Degase and Mary Jane (Ford) Degase. Lizzie married Andrew Jackson Fleetwood Sr. on Sept 8, 1905 in Douglas County, Missouri. They had one daughter, Eva Jane Fleetwood. Lizzie died when Eva was only three years old, apparently from Typhoid Fever. See attached newspaper article from Gainesville, Missouri: Newspapers.com - Ozark County Times - 12 Mar 1909 - Page 1. The short article reported Lizzie's impending death, as well as other local deaths, from Typhoid Fever. Lizzie's 3-year old daughter (Eva) had no memories of her mother, and she always wanted to find her grave. In 2010, Eva's grandson, Joe, finally found Lizzie's grave! Lizzie was buried in Clark Cemetery in a remote area near Foil, Missouri. Photo courtesy of Joe.
