CHARLES A. SEATON

Charles Andrew Seaton was born Jan. 13, 1875 at Floyd, Iowa, and died at North Platte, Nebraska, May 16,1921 aged 45years,4months and 3days. During his youth he was resident of Iowa and Kansa until he was eleven years of age when he came with his parents to Lincoln County and settled at Wallace Nebr. Here he grew to manhood and in Nov. 1905 he was married at North Platte to Miss Nettie Simmons. He took
bride to a farm home about seven miles northeast of Wallace where they lived for 5 years. At different timos since then he has lived at Welfleet, Maxwell and North Platte and for a time the family were in New York State seeking health for Mr Seaton. At the opening of the Spanish-American War he volunteered and served in Company K, Second Regiment of Nebraska Volunteers until the close of the war when he received an honorable discharge. About four years ago Mr. Seaton first became ill with diabetes and one year ago he had to give up work on account of the malady. While weak and suffering he bore up patiently until Just a few days before his death. He left to mourn him, his wife and his son Duval, his parents, Mr and Mrs J.H. Seaton of Wellfleet, a brother, J.H. Seaton, Jr., of Curtis, a brother, Martin Seaton of Wellfleet, a sister, Mrs. John Conger of Wellfleet, a sister, Mrs. Geo. Meyers of Wellfleet, eleven nephews and one neice.
