Chloe is the only known child of Horace William Ingraham and his wife Lucretia Finch of Saybrook CT and one of the early settling families of Durham, NY in Greene County.
Her mother died when Chloe was still a toddler, and she was raised by her father and stepmother, Thankful Moss Ingraham.

Chloe married Wm. P. Haviland in 1847 in Hunter, Greene County, NY. He was the son of Charles and Sarah (Mead) Haviland.

Chloe lived at the home farm of her in-laws with her new husband and had a daughter, Louisa Rose, born in 1848.
Chloe and William had a second daughter, Chloe Henrietta born in 1850.

Due, no doubt to complications at childbirth, Chloe died later that same year, leaving her young husband with an infant daughter and a toddler to care for.
Her husband remarried soon after and had eight more children.

Chloe's daughters stayed with an assortment of Ingraham, Finch and Haviland relatives until they married.

Chloe was buried in the East Jewett Cemetery in Greene County, NY in 1850. Her gravesite, along with many others, was claimed by area development and her remains were moved to the Maplewood Cemetery, closer to the Village of Hunter.
